Trail Life USA & Camping Stick Kids
One Stick to Lead Them
Campers need one stick to carry them through all three of our curriculums. By the end of their Mountain Lion years, they could potentially have five vinyl stickers, five medallions, and five leather tags on their hiking stick. At the end of all three curriculums, campers will have learned what God made, who Jesus is and how to find and follow him, and how to walk a life worthy of the calling set before them according to 1 Corinthians 16:13-14.

Book 1: Break Out
This five session curriculum helps your Trailmen breakout and discover God’s world. Trailmen will earn five high quality vinyl stickers for their hiking stick.
The five sessions are as follows:
1. God is King of all the air
2. God is King of all the land
3. God is King of all the water
4. God is King of all the trees
5. God is King of all the creatures
Book 2: The Big Five
They call themselves The Big Five – five friends who stick together no matter what – but this adventure takes them deeper than they ever imagined. From campouts and challenges to laughter and lessons, they’re about to discover the greatest story of all: the Gospel.
Come join The Big Five as they face life’s biggest questions:
- Who is God? The One who made Heaven and wants you there.
- Who am I? Someone who needs help, because sin gets in the way.
- What’s gone wrong? Sin breaks things – and hearts.
- What has Jesus done? He gave His life to rescue you.
- How will I live now? By choosing forgiveness and growing with God every day.
Are you ready for the adventure? The Big Five are waiting for you!
Book 3: The Real Hero’s Journal
This five-session curriculum highlights the qualities of a real hero as laid out in 1 Corinthians 16:13-14. Campers will discover that a real hero is:
- Vigilant
- Rooted
- Courageous
- Strong
- Loving
Campers will earn a leather tag for their hiking stick after completing the activities in their Real Hero’s Journal. These activities include a devotional, a bible study, a story, a puzzle, and a journaling section.
Your campers will each need our Real Hero’s Kit. If campers have already received their hiking stick from previous CSK curriculums, they are encouraged to continue using the same stick.
If this is a first time for your campers, they will need the Real Hero’s Kit with a stick.
You, the leader, will need the Real Hero’s Project leaders guide. This is a digital download only. You may print it or use it in its digital format.
You will see the following sections in your leaders guide, each section correlates to TRAIL LIFE USA’S six “F’s”:
